The Community of Madrid has surpassed one and a half million users on Cuenta Digital, the platform that allows citizens to carry out procedures for the more than 350 public services it unifies. In June, a total of 137,000 people used this resource, representing a 9% increase compared to the previous month. The number of app downloads on Android and iOS grew by 13% during the same period.
Since its launch on July 15, 2024, Madrid residents have completed over two million administrative procedures through this service, promoted by the Consejería de Digitalización. The most requested were the school meal grant, the youth card, and the health card. The predominant age group among users is 18 to 30 years old (25%), followed by 30 to 40 years old (23%) and 40 to 50 years old (22%). More than 15 million accesses have been recorded.
Digital procedures in the regional Administration have increased by an average of 25% so far in 2026. This has allowed public employees to save over 20,000 working hours, reducing the time spent on manual operations to an average of 3 minutes per file. Citizens, on the other hand, have reduced the time spent on procedures by up to 50%.
The platform is continuously updated to improve existing functionalities and incorporate new demands. A dedicated space for the Youth Card has been created, allowing those under 30 years old to access benefits and activities. Services such as fee payments, applications for educational and baccalaureate grants, recognition of disability and dependency degrees, and marriage applications have also been added.
Cuenta Digital notifies users about changes in procedures, card expirations, and process continuity, helping them avoid missing deadlines. It also recalls their history and data to prevent requesting information already held by the regional Administration.
