The Community of Madrid has cemented its position as Spain's economic engine, reporting a significant increase in the creation of new commercial companies during February, surpassing the national average.

The regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, highlighted the region's investment appeal after it was revealed that 2,615 new companies were established in February, accounting for 20% of the national total. This marks the third consecutive month of year-on-year growth in company formation.
During a visit to the Danone science hub in Tres Cantos, Ayuso emphasized Madrid's economic attractiveness for both national and international investment, particularly in innovation and high-tech sectors. The region is now the second in Europe for high-tech related employment.

Data from the National Institute of Statistics confirms that business creation in Madrid saw a 31% year-on-year increase in February. Additionally, the number of dissolved companies decreased by 12.2%, totaling 640. This represents the second-best historical record for company formation in a February month.
