The Community of Madrid solidifies its position as the primary hub for Artificial Intelligence (AI) investment in Spain, attracting 63% of the business spending dedicated to this technology, amounting to over 360 million euros.

The Minister of Economy, Treasury, and Employment highlighted this figure during the closing of the international innovation and entrepreneurship event South Summit, held at La Nave de Villaverde. This year's edition of the event was particularly focused on the development and application of AI.
In this context, the minister recalled the initiatives by the Regional Government to boost digital talent. Through the Digital Talent Plan, over 8,700 students have already been trained in advanced technologies such as generative AI and data analytics, with employment insertion rates exceeding 60%.
Additionally, an agreement has been signed with Microsoft to offer free AI training to 75,000 Madrileños over the next year, reinforcing the region's commitment to digital skills development.
The South Summit gathered over 7,500 startups from 134 countries and 2,100 investors for its fifteenth edition. The Startup Competition featured a significant presence of Madrid-based companies, accounting for 19 out of the 49 participants.
