Madrid, October 27, 2026. Madrid Excelente organized the conference Excelencia sin límites (Excellence without limits), which gathered over 150 attendees as part of the XVII Employment Fair for People with Disabilities of the Community of Madrid. The event, promoted by the General Directorate of the Public Employment Service of the Community of Madrid, aims to connect companies and candidates to facilitate access to the labor market.
The conference featured David Casinos, a five-time Paralympic medalist, and Elena Mantilla, Director General of Madrid Excelente, as moderator. Institutional and business representatives also attended, including Carmen Montes, regional director of Inserta Madrid, and Marta Bustos, a visually impaired Spanish content creator. The presence of various companies highlighted the commitment of Madrid's business fabric to equal opportunities.
David Casinos, who lost his sight at 26 due to diabetic retinopathy, shared his experience as a leading figure in Spanish Paralympic athletics, where he won five medals. After his elite sports career, he has dedicated himself to motivational coaching and public speaking, transferring lessons learned from his sports and personal journey to the professional sphere. His testimony connected these teachings with the reality of organizations, promoting diverse and competitive teams.
Labor inclusion was the central theme of the event, emphasizing the need for employment access opportunities, inclusive selection processes, and professional environments that foster the development of each worker. Collaboration between the regional administration, companies, and specialized entities is considered fundamental to breaking down barriers and promoting diverse teams.
With this third edition, Madrid Excelente Talks continues to create spaces for dialogue. David Casinos's story reinforced the message that inclusive employment expands professional opportunities, better utilizes people's abilities, and contributes to a more competitive economy.
