The workshop, under the slogan ‘8 hours to innovate, collaborate, and transform your city’, will take place this Wednesday at the Las Margaritas Civic Center. The program aims to involve 25 young people from the municipality in designing their environment, offering a 15-euro bonus for participation and a 300-euro prize for the winning team.

The event will run from 3:00 PM to 10:20 PM, within an open innovation ecosystem. It will include ‘Future Workshops’ for experimentation and scenario design, as well as ‘AI Prototyping’, where urban solutions will be developed using artificial intelligence tools.

Additionally, participants will receive expert advice and real-time content creation through ‘Mentoring and Live Podcast’ sessions. A group dynamic, ‘Gamified Food’, has also been designed to integrate the creative process in a playful way.

From 9:00 PM onwards, the event will open to a wider audience with the ‘Late Show: Humor and Future’. This segment will feature a stand-up comedy monologue by a local artist and a live podcast with four young people from the municipality. The teams will present their prototypes, and the audience will vote to choose the winner.

Registration is free for both the laboratory and the ‘Late Show’, although places are limited, with 25 for laboratory participants and 150 for the gala audience. HeyLab is part of Getafe's Urban Agenda, which aims to make the municipality more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient by 2030.
