The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, followed by a visit from the Minister of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid, Jorge Rodrigo. Both toured the facilities alongside representatives from the Regional Transport Consortium of Madrid.
The bus transport sector is experiencing a period of growth. According to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), more than 1.535 billion passengers were recorded in Spain during the first five months of 2026, a 2.55 percent year-on-year increase. This upward trend is driving fleet renewal towards electric and hybrid models.
Key technologies on display include intelligent management systems, predictive maintenance, and advanced safety tools. The fair also hosts international delegations and buyers from various countries, reinforcing its role as a benchmark for operational efficiency in passenger transport.
