According to recent data from the National Institute of Statistics, the region experienced a year-on-year growth of 36.8% in the formation of new companies. This progress marks four consecutive months of expansion in business creation within the Community of Madrid.
The investment linked to these new companies was substantial, with subscribed capital exceeding 321.21 million euros, representing a 324.84% increase compared to the same period last year.
In contrast, 697 companies were dissolved in March, an 11.7% increase from the previous year. The majority (623) did so voluntarily, while 33 merged with other entities, and 41 ceased operations for other reasons.
Conversely, the number of companies that increased their capital rose by 11.1%, totaling 810 businesses. However, the capital subscribed in these expansions decreased by 16.4%, amounting to 708.08 million euros compared to March of the previous year.
The trend of growth in business creation was widespread across all autonomous communities, with Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, and Catalonia showing the most significant increases.
