The Municipal Institute for Employment and Economic Promotion (IMEPE) of Alcorcón is organizing the initiative ‘Commerce Runway: Fashion Born in Your City’ to boost the local fashion and accessories sector.
The event will take place in the Plaza de los Príncipes de España on June 18th, starting at 7:00 PM. It will feature professional models showcasing clothing and accessories from local neighborhood establishments. The free-to-attend activity will also include live music and other leisure activities.
Interested businesses can now register. The registration deadline is May 20th, though it may be adjusted for organizational reasons. Spaces are limited, and establishments must complete a registration form and submit a signed declaration of responsibility in PDF format, in addition to meeting the established rules.

"Faced with large multinationals that standardize shop windows anywhere in the world, local tailors and dressmakers bring life to our streets, providing our municipality with quality products and services."
“
"This runway is a way to champion the fashion stores in our neighborhoods, which serve so many residents of Alcorcón with proximity every day. I encourage local businesses to participate and take advantage of this new opportunity to showcase their products."
This initiative is part of other measures promoted by the IMEPE to support local commerce, such as the online directory ‘Mercado La Colina de Alcorcón’, a digital platform that gathers information on the city's commercial establishments and allows users to find businesses by activity or area.
