IKEA and the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) have formalized a collaboration agreement to strengthen their strategic alliance in sustainability and the circular economy, aiming to design and develop joint activities.

The agreement was signed by Diana Carrero, director of IKEA Valencia, and Javier Ribal, dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Management (ADE) at UPV. This collaboration is integrated into an advisory body that already brings together over 25 organizations from various sectors, all committed to sustainability from a practical perspective.
IKEA's participation in this collaborative ecosystem is crucial, as it brings the vision of a global company actively working on transforming its business model towards a more circular and accessible approach for most people.

"Collaborating with the Universitat Politècnica de València is an opportunity to bring business reality closer to the academic environment. We want to share our experience, give visibility to real cases, and, at the same time, learn from the talent and critical perspective of the students. This agreement reinforces our commitment to society and to the development of professionals prepared to face current social and environmental challenges. We firmly believe in collaboration between business and university as a driving force for change."

Diana Carrero · Director of IKEA Valencia

"Collaboration with a company like IKEA reinforces our commitment to education aligned with business reality and major global challenges. This type of agreement allows us to incorporate new perspectives into the academic field and continue advancing in preparing profiles capable of operating in complex and constantly transforming environments."
