The Entrepreneurship Department of València City Council has published the list of beneficiaries for the 'Reactiva la Huerta 2026' grant program, an aid line allocating 400,000 euros to 83 self-employed individuals in the agricultural and livestock sector of the municipality.
This initiative, now in its third consecutive edition, primarily aims to support and promote entrepreneurial activity in the primary sector. The grants, with individual amounts of up to 5,000 euros, are intended to finance the operating expenses of farmers and ranchers.

"The high participation is no coincidence. It is a reflection of a sector that wants to move forward, that wants to grow, but that for too long has had to do so practically alone. Today we see that this need for support is real and that there was more demand than we initially anticipated."
The Councillor for Entrepreneurship, José Gosálbez, emphasized the importance of these subsidies, highlighting that they are not just about figures, but about individuals who work daily for their farms. He added that these aids are direct support for the effort that sustains a significant part of the local economy and that rural professionals deserve useful, direct, and constant institutional support.

"Historically, farmers and ranchers have had to focus on resisting rather than advancing, facing constant costs, bureaucracy, and difficulties. Our commitment is clear: to change that dynamic and give them real tools so they can focus on what is important, which is to produce, improve, and consolidate their projects."
The 'Reactiva la Huerta' call is the one with the largest economic allocation to date, subsidizing 100% of justified operating expenses. This initiative is part of a set of measures promoted by the department during the first quarter of 2026 to strengthen the local economic fabric, including the 'Emprende y Contrata 2026' grants and the 'Entrepreneurship Day Awards' and 'San Isidro Labrador Awards'.
