The Minister of Employment, Commerce, and Immigration, José González, visited a Bermello Electrodomésticos store in Ourense today, where he emphasized that small and medium-sized enterprises are potential beneficiaries of the support provided in the Comprehensive Plan for improving prevention, workplace well-being, and healthy reintegration into work in Galicia 2026-2029.
The plan includes strengthening the human and technical resources of the Issga to make it the reference body for implementing prevention and well-being measures. This reinforcement will involve an additional investment of over €1.2 million next year, resulting from the agreement reached within the framework of Social Dialogue between the Xunta, the CEG employers' association, and the UGT-Galicia union.
The minister recalled that the document enhances support instruments for SMEs, micro-enterprises, and self-employed individuals, with measures such as the Coida Peme program, which will provide funds for contracting psychological and musculoskeletal care services.
It also includes training for management teams and middle managers, the dissemination of guides to promote flexibility in work organization, and support for micro-enterprises and the self-employed during long-term absences to facilitate substitution and healthy reintegration.
Furthermore, he announced a pilot mechanism for reintegration support, featuring a voluntary coordinator, and the new Galician One-Stop Shop for Occupational Health and Healthy Reintegration Support, a free public service aimed at SMEs, micro-enterprises, and the self-employed.
José González also congratulated Bermello Electrodomésticos for being a finalist in the 2026 Galician Commerce Awards in the Trajectory category, recognizing their 90 years of history and adaptation to modern times.
