A significant investment group, one of the most active in the Iberian Peninsula, is set to establish a strategic aquaculture project at the former Lemoiz nuclear power plant, marking a step forward in its business diversification.

The group, founded in 2005, manages assets exceeding 1.5 billion euros and has invested over 2.2 billion euros across various sectors, including real estate, agri-food, and industry. In the 2024 fiscal year, the company achieved consolidated revenues of 301.4 million euros, a 27% increase from the previous year.
The aquaculture business, specifically focused on sole farming, is the company that will be implemented in Lemoiz. Currently, the company operates three production centers: a hatchery in Povoa de Varzim (Portugal), and two fattening units in Cambados (Pontevedra) and Murtosa (Portugal). In September of last year, a facility in Gijón was added for sole fattening.
The Lemoiz project represents a major commitment, where all phases of fish farming will be developed: incubation, rearing, fattening, and commercialization. This will strengthen the group's position in the food sector.
The group's origins lie in the agri-food sector, where it began with the production of over 20,000 hectares of olive and almond trees in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Subsequently, they reoriented their strategy towards products with higher market demand, such as pistachios and avocados.

"We look to the future with optimism and determination, confident that the strength of our business model, the diversity of our activities, and the flexibility of our team will be key to continuing to create sustainable value. These qualities position us to face upcoming challenges and seize new opportunities, always with the commitment to meet the expectations of all our stakeholders."
