The Basque Government has approved the Berriro 1.5 project, a digital platform designed to strengthen loyalty in local retail through advanced campaign segmentation and automated return management.

Managed by the Bizkaidendak association with 62,685 euros in funding, the project builds upon the tool launched in 2025. Following its initial rollout in Arratia-Nervión and Durangaldea, the platform now aims to provide a higher-level incentive system.
The new version enables supporting entities to design retail campaigns using vouchers or discounts, segmented by territory, sector, customer profile, or seasonality. This is managed via an autonomous dashboard, removing the need for specific technical developments.
Additionally, a comprehensive return management system is included. This feature allows for the registration and linking of every transaction to its original purchase, automatically calculating benefit adjustments and ensuring full traceability to minimize manual administrative tasks.
