Bilbao's German restaurant Ein Prosit, owned by the Thate brothers, will sell its furniture and equipment this and next weekend before its final closure.

The German restaurant Ein Prosit in Bilbao, run by the Thate brothers, will be selling its furniture and equipment before its final closure. The historic venue will reopen its doors this weekend and the next, not to serve food or drinks, but to offer an outlet of all the items that have decorated this emblematic establishment for three decades.
According to the restaurant's management, "almost everything has its end, and Ein Prosit, sadly, has reached it." Furthermore, they have made it clear for those who thought it was a temporary closure that "they should disabuse themselves."
The public will have the opportunity to acquire significant items such as kitchen machinery, tableware, cutlery, and even lamps. The opening hours will be from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. "It's a good opportunity to take home a souvenir of the happy hours spent within its walls," they stated.
Eduardo Thate, the public face of the business, announced via social media that the siblings "had no other choice." "The construction work - the one in Plaza del Ensanche, which started in 2024 and is scheduled to conclude this year - has been very long and complicated for us and has overwhelmed us. However, we will continue operating at our location in Pozas," he assured.
