The new leader of the association, with an extensive career in business management, has highlighted the need for continuous adaptation of the urban environment in Bilbao and its surroundings. He noted that factors such as climate, demographics, and the economy are constantly changing, demanding a flexible response from the city.

He emphasized that the fundamental pillar of the association is collaboration between the public and private sectors to consolidate achievements to date and look towards the future. Furthermore, he shared the vision of transforming Bilbao into a significant hub of the Atlantic arc, serving as an axis from northern Portugal to Bordeaux.
The role of the Estuary, which was the origin of Greater Bilbao, was also highlighted. In recent years, with the city's transformation and projects such as the Guggenheim Museum, the University of Deusto, and the UPV auditorium, significant urban development has occurred around it. Areas like Zorrozaurre have been reclaimed for the city, and similar models are being applied in municipalities such as Barakaldo and Sestao, recovering old industrial areas and promoting new economic projects.
