The Bizkaia Euskaltel Digital Center, a pioneering center driven by the Euskaltel Foundation and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, is set to embrace autumn with an enhanced program following its initial months of activity. Since its launch in June, which included tech camps and initial public training sessions, the center will expand its offerings with 46 workshops, totaling over 220 hours of training. Of these, 34 will be introductory level and 12 intermediate.
The training proposed by the Bizkaia Euskaltel Digital Center caters to diverse profiles, with content focused on acquiring new digital skills, specializing in specific tech areas, or obtaining digital tools for personal interest.
Among the workshops are courses on artificial intelligence, Prompt Engineering, local chatbots, creating AI-powered web applications, Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity 3D, laser cutting, and 3D scanning, alongside training in digital manufacturing and programming.
The training offer is characterized by its dynamism and is designed for periodic renewal to meet the evolving demands of the digital landscape. While content and activities will evolve, the center's core objective remains unchanged since its inception: to universalize access to digital competencies for all citizens. By July, just two months after opening, nearly 800 individuals had already participated in activities organized by the Bizkaia Euskaltel Digital Center.
An example of the center's practical approach is the first edition of the Fiber Optic Installer Technician training, which enabled students to gain professional experience and enter the job market immediately after course completion. A new edition of this training begins on October 7th, also with a commitment to work placements.
Furthermore, the Bizkaia Euskaltel Digital Center is developing new learning formats, including Labs – experimental spaces for practical project development with expert support and personalized follow-up. This initiative will be complemented by a schedule of events, conferences, and meetups related to the technological ecosystem.
Since its inception, BEDC aims to become a hub for connection and training for individuals and companies seeking not only to update their skills but also to address key needs within Euskadi's productive sector, thereby enhancing employability and personal growth.
