These awards, now in their second edition, aim to highlight the activities of women entrepreneurs in Gipuzkoa. The event gathered a wide representation of institutional figures, including the mayor of Donostia and the councilor for Economy and Local Employment.
The entrepreneur who received the Social and Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award, founder and director of the Aloka project, based in Donostia, promotes a business model that demonstrates that sustainability, social impact, and viability can go hand in hand. Aloka is a platform for renting audiovisual equipment that, by promoting the circular economy and zero kilometers, optimizes equipment use and fosters access to the labor market for women underrepresented in the sector.
Meanwhile, the entrepreneur who received the Technological and Digital Innovation Award, CEO and co-founder of Polykey Polymers, located in Miramón Technology Park, reflects excellence in innovation, coupled with a remarkable ability to transfer technology to the market. This startup, founded in 2020 from the POLYMAT research center at the UPV/EHU, produces bio-based polymers and develops chemical recycling technologies for plastics, offering innovative solutions for the sector's transition from linear production to a circular and sustainable economy, making Gipuzkoa an international benchmark in this field.
Finally, the young entrepreneur who received the Young Entrepreneurs Award, founder and CEO of the startup Nexi Health, has demonstrated leadership and vision. The jury recognized an early and consistent entrepreneurial trajectory, as well as a strong vocation and leadership capacity uncommon for her age. This startup, created in 2023 from a personal experience in mental health, develops digital technologies that support health professionals in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of mental health patients.
