This initiative, managed by the Commerce and Historic Center departments, along with Vallsgenera, aims to boost the local economy and consolidate the center of Valls as a vibrant and attractive commercial space for residents and visitors.
The project is structured into three complementary lines of action. The first focuses on drafting a Special Urban Plan for Uses and Activities in the Historic Center. This plan, to be developed by the Rovira i Virgili University Foundation, will regulate economic uses and ensure balanced development between commercial activity, housing, and public space.
The second line will be dedicated to commercial and real estate revitalization. A specialized service will be created, primarily operating in Carrer de la Cort, Plaça del Pati, and Plaça del Blat. Additionally, direct work will be done with owners, investors, entrepreneurs, brands, and franchises to promote the advantages offered by the Historic Center.
Finally, the third line will promote the revitalization of activities and temporary uses in vacant commercial premises. The goal is to generate movement, attract the public, and offer new experiences. Starting in the summer, initiatives such as pop-up stores and various cultural, social, and creative activities will be promoted.
