Around fifty workers at Pascual's plant in Gurb halted activity and blocked the C-17 access roundabout this Monday, demanding collective bargaining following the plant's sale to Casa Tarradellas.

The all-day mobilization aims to force a dialogue on future employment conditions, after the sale of the facility was announced ten days ago. Employees express concern over the lack of clarity in the individual continuity proposals.

"We do not see clearly the individual continuity proposal offered by Tarradellas, where they are guaranteed 'only' salary and seniority. We are unaware of the shifts, schedules, and other working conditions to be able to decide."

This uncertainty regarding fundamental aspects such as working hours and shifts prevents those affected from making informed decisions about their professional future. Meanwhile, sources from Pascual have indicated that, although the lawyer representing some workers has rejected the initial offers, they are confident that a satisfactory agreement will eventually be reached for all parties.
