The chain of aesthetic clinics Opción Médica, managed by the Saenger family, is in a delicate financial situation and is actively seeking an investor to avoid bankruptcy, according to sources close to the company.

The centers, specializing in aesthetic surgery, aesthetic medicine, and obesity, have experienced a significant drop in revenue in recent years, leading to treasury problems that have brought them close to insolvency proceedings.
The company's management attributes these problems to erratic management, pointing to Diana Saenger, the founder's daughter and currently at the helm of the company since 2023. Despite the situation, the company rules out filing for insolvency, describing the setbacks as «temporary issues» that are expected to be regularized soon.

The decline in business turnover has been justified by the global macroeconomic uncertainty generated by Donald Trump's trade war with Iran and the delicate situation in the Middle East, which allegedly affected the aesthetic market.

Opción Médica was founded in late 2009 by Dr. Fernando Saenger Ruiz, a renowned figure in Spanish aesthetic medicine and creator of the famous Clínica Londres. The network of clinics includes centers in Barcelona (Calvet and Pau Claris streets), L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Sabadell, Terrassa, Mataró, Badalona, Cornellà, Tarragona, and Vilanova i la Geltrú.
In parallel, the Saenger family also founded Saesco Medical in 2009, a distributor of medical devices. In 2025, the private equity fund Miura Partners acquired almost 50% of Saesco, which, together with the acquisition of Cardiolink, achieved a combined turnover exceeding 50 million euros.
