The Sabores Almería brand has showcased the excellence of its traditional products, such as bread, oil, and tomato, during the 39th edition of Salón Gourmets at IFEMA Madrid, emphasizing craftsmanship and tradition in their production.

The event, which runs until Thursday, has served as a showcase for Almería's rich gastronomy, with presentations highlighting the value of artisanal processes and the authenticity of its products. Sabores Almería's activity agenda has included demonstrations and tastings that have captured the attention of attendees.
Among the notable activities, master baker Carlos Salinas, from Obrador Las Pitas, gave a master class on crafting high-quality sourdough bread, blending contemporary techniques with traditional essence. Subsequently, Tana Ferre, co-owner of Aceite Verde Calas, presented her premium extra virgin olive oil, produced in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, in Carboneras. This oil was paired with red shrimp carpaccio from Aquí Carboneras and raf tomato from Casi, accompanied by bread from Obrador Las Pitas.
Chef Arpit Aneja, from Restaurante Wassy, delighted attendees with three culinary creations at the Almerian stand, fusing flavors from his Indian roots with Spanish gastronomy. His dishes included a raf tomato tartare with sakubushi, a taco with Russian salad and shrimp, and a panipuri, utilizing products from the Valle del Almanzora and the Mediterranean.
In parallel with the presentations, the 24 companies from Sabores Almería present at Salón Gourmets have maintained a busy schedule of meetings and professional encounters. The goal is to expand their brands into new markets and commercial channels. Additionally, a selection of eleven companies from the Almerian gourmet brand is offering tastings and selling their products at the Mercado de La Paz in Madrid, in the Barrio de Salamanca, until Saturday.
Almería's representation at the fair also includes chefs from the Almería Gastronómica Association, such as Luis Arango, Noelia Carrión, Borja González, Francisco Pozo, Estefanía Marchal, Juan Manuel Domínguez, Arpit Aneja, Fran Kis, and Manu López. Sommelier José Antonio Moreno is responsible for wine pairings with Almerian wines, while Emilio J. García Ortigosa has performed ham carving from Hijate.
