The new infrastructure, spanning 15,000 m², will operate under 4.0 logistics principles. It will feature automated processes, comprehensive digital traceability, and the capacity to accommodate new hospitals and services. Key innovations include the centralized and robotic preparation of surgical sets tailored to each procedure, aiming to improve material control, enhance traceability, and free up healthcare centers from support logistics tasks. The design also allocates space for a future shared sterilization center.
This initiative, unveiled during a meeting of the CSC Health Commission, aims to complement Logaritme's activities, primarily serving ICS centers. The platform will bolster the logistics capabilities of the contracted network through a shared language, encompassing a unified catalog, approved references, and interoperable information, alongside mutual support mechanisms for potential incidents.
The Healthcare Logistics Coordination (CLS), established in 2006, is an economic interest grouping specializing in the shared management of the healthcare supply chain. Its current partners are the Parc Taulí, the Parc de Salut Mar, and the Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili. CLS serves 10 healthcare centers, employs 59 professionals, manages 1,119 consumption points, and operates 24 distribution routes, establishing itself as a cooperative model for improving the efficiency and quality of logistics processes.
CLS officials emphasized that the new platform marks a strategic step to address increased activity and expand the portfolio of shared services, while maintaining the autonomy of participating hospitals and adapting to their specific needs. They encouraged representatives from associated entities present at the meeting to explore joining the project.
