Jewelry store Miramira has opened its doors in the former Estrella pharmacy on Ferran street in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, following a restoration process.

The historic Estrella pharmacy premises on Ferran street, number 7, in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, now has a new tenant. The jewelry firm Miramira has opened its doors in this location, which previously housed a cannabis-derivatives business and had been closed for two years after the original pharmacy ceased operations.
During the renovation, the building's heritage facade and interior elements, including the wooden ceiling, furniture, and hydraulic floor, have been preserved and restored in compliance with municipal regulations. The real estate agency Gramar managed the lease for the shop, estimated at around 8,000 euros per month.
Miramira, founded in 2022 in Madrid by entrepreneur Miguel Cheng, specializes in 14-karat gold-plated stainless steel jewelry. The company reported a turnover of approximately 20 million euros last year and operates about ten stores in Catalonia, including one on Pelai street.
The Estrella pharmacy, established in 1840 and once the oldest business on Ferran street, closed permanently in 2021. Its former owners relocated the pharmacy to a new site on Banys Nous street.
