The Mancomunitat Intermunicipal de la Conca d’Òdena (MICOD) has launched the Professional Pool of the Conca, a free service aimed at connecting companies in Anoia with local professionals trained in technical trades.

Currently, MICOD is training 47 students in three simultaneous courses: 14 in welding, 17 in building renovation and maintenance, and 16 in integral building installation (photovoltaics, electricity, and plumbing). The Mancomunitat invites companies in these sectors to learn about the profiles of current and former students to facilitate their employment.
The pool offers an intermediation and support service tailored to business needs. Participants have passed a selection process and receive specialized theoretical and practical training, including non-employment internships in real work environments. All professionals have certified training in occupational risk prevention, eliminating this responsibility for hiring companies.
Interested companies can access pre-selected profiles, receive guidance in candidate identification, and monitor internships, thus streamlining the search for qualified personnel at no cost.
In recent years, MICOD has delivered seven courses under the “Conca Industrial” and “Work, Talent, and Technology” programs, training over a hundred individuals. The employment insertion rate for students who have completed the courses is 83%, highlighting the demand for skilled professionals in the industrial sector.
Collaboration with 70 local companies has been crucial, with 18 of them hosting interns or hiring them. MICOD aims to become a regional benchmark in industrial training, contributing to the generational renewal of trades.
These actions are part of the Conca Industrial 4.0 project and the Work, Talent, and Technology (TTT) “Construeix Futur” program, supported by the Diputació de Barcelona.
Companies interested in hosting interns or hiring professionals can contact MICOD via email at concaindustrial@micod.cat.
