The year-on-year CPI in the Girona region has grown by almost one point in July, reaching 4.2%. This represents an increase of nine tenths compared to the 3.3% recorded in June. The primary cause of this rise is the price of utilities, which have gone up by 7.7% annually.
Regarding the monthly variation, prices have increased by 0.5% compared to June. This rebound is attributed to the higher cost of transport and energy, which have risen by around two points following the withdrawal of Spanish government aid.
In contrast, prices for clothing and footwear have seen a monthly decrease of 10.5%, driven by the summer sales campaign.
