The real estate market in Terres de l'Ebre shows an expanding trend, with a 10.19% increase in home sales in 2025 across the province of Tarragona, exceeding figures from Catalonia and Spain.

Home sales in the main towns of Terres de l'Ebre, such as Tortosa, Amposta, and Deltebre, maintain a positive and expanding trend. Data from the Chamber of Urban Property of Tarragona reveal a significant increase in activity, with prices continuing to advance in most of the Ebre region.
During 2025, 18,175 property sales transactions were recorded in the province of Tarragona, 10.19% more than the 16,494 from the previous year. This improvement surpasses that registered in both Catalonia and the State as a whole, confirming the healthy state of the Tarragona real estate market.
Specifically, Tortosa, Amposta, la Ràpita, Deltebre, and Alcanar collectively recorded 2,000 transactions in 2025, a 5.76% increase from the 1,891 in 2024. Compared to 2021, when 1,675 sales were recorded, the rise reaches 19.40%, indicating sustained demand in Terres de l'Ebre.
This upward trend continued in the first quarter of 2026, unlike the rest of Spain and Catalonia, where a decline was observed. The province of Tarragona maintains a positive dynamic in both transaction volume and prices.
Tortosa leads the sales in the Ebre region with 554 transactions in 2025 (12.83% more than the previous year). Amposta recorded 443 transactions (8.85% more), and Deltebre, 310 (23.02% more). La Ràpita, despite dropping to 397, maintains significant volume, while Alcanar remains stable with 296.
Regarding prices, the trend is upward, although more moderate than in other parts of the province. The average price per square meter in the province rose from 1,135 euros in 2021 to 1,461 euros in 2025. In Terres de l'Ebre, la Ràpita stands at 1,046 €/m², Alcanar at 1,032 €, Amposta at 940 €, Deltebre at 874 €, and Tortosa at 868 €.
The most notable increases compared to 2024 occurred in Amposta (+21.59%) and Tortosa (+17.79%). However, prices in the Ebre region remain lower than in tourist coastal towns like Salou (2,422 €/m²) or Cambrils (2,378 €/m²).
The average price per transaction also reflects this difference: Tortosa (85,725 €), Amposta (79,038 €), Deltebre (95,282 €), la Ràpita (101,059 €), and Alcanar (109,921 €) are below Cambrils (218,269 €) or Tarragona (153,804 €).
The Chamber of Urban Property of Tarragona emphasizes that, despite the increase, prices in the province (1,461 €/m² average) remain below the average for Catalonia (2,435 €/m²) and the State (2,152 €/m²).
The entity believes that the evolution of recent years confirms the consolidation of the Ebre real estate market. The simultaneous increase in transactions and prices indicates high and sustained demand. Future market balance will depend on increasing the available supply.
