The multisectoral fair in Tortosa, Expoebre, has closed its doors after four days of intense activity at the Remolins exhibition center. Both the mayor and the councilor for Fairs expressed their satisfaction with the event's development, which celebrated its eightieth edition with notable participation from exhibitors and visitors.
One of the highlights of the closing ceremony was the awards gala for exhibitors. The award for dynamism went to Ideart, for its new sportswear brand and the activity generated. Midas Tortosa received the Novelty award for its recent establishment in the city and its commitment to the fair. Project Emma was honored with the innovation award for its breast cancer research, while Finesplus received recognition for the best product for its enclosure solutions.
Other awards included best stand for Penya Barcelonista de Tortosa and for Centelles Moda in the Celebrem space. Recognition for training and talent went to URV Voltage Racing, a university association dedicated to designing electric competition motorcycles. Loyalty was awarded to Abelló Autotec, a dealership with 25 years of experience, and business trajectory to Homatic, a company founded in 1979 that has returned to Expoebre. The award for territorial promotion went to the Copate-Reserva de la Biosfera stand, and special mentions were given to Conficon Hostesses and Llatje Electrohidràulica.
“"We are very clear that the exhibitor is the center of the fair. The entire approach of this 80th edition has been designed to generate more opportunities for companies, facilitating contact with the public and fostering a constant flow of visitors to the exhibition center."
Despite the rain, which the mayor described as an “Expoebre classic,” public attendance at the Remolins pavilion, Rafael Vidiella park, and the attractions area was very significant throughout the four days. The consolidation of spaces like Ebretast and the outdoor Taste & Fashion area was highlighted, reinforcing the fair as a multisectoral showcase for Tortosa and the region.
The Taste & Fashion space, located in Rafael Vidiella park since last year, has become a complementary leisure and family area that has revitalized the event. The Expoebre auditorium also hosted numerous activities, attracting a constant flow of visitors inside the pavilion. One of the central themes of this edition was a retrospective on the fair's evolution, showcased in a documentary screened in the pavilion's hall.
“"A phrase I really liked these days is that we have gone from livestock to robots."
This phrase illustrates the transformation of a fair that has adapted to new times, shifting from a purely commercial focus to one centered on experiences and reunion. Finally, gratitude was extended to municipal staff, the Local Police, the Mossos d'Esquadra, and the Punt Lila, ensuring that evenings and nights passed without incident. The economic support from the Diputació de Tarragona and the presence of COPATE were also highlighted. The closing included a concert by the group Les Gamberres and a fireworks display, and work is already underway for the 81st edition of Expoebre.
