Cultural tourism in the Lleida region has reached a consolidated figure of over one million annual visitors, according to data from the Provincial Council tourism board.

Interest in historical heritage and popular celebrations has become a fundamental pillar for the sector. This flow of visitors includes both tourists staying in the area and those visiting specifically for cultural consumption, in a context where UNESCO recognition has gained importance with six protected elements, such as the Romanesque churches of Vall de Boí, the fire festivals of the Pyrenees, or the cave paintings of Roca dels Moros in El Cogul.
The offer is diversified with an extensive network of museums, castle routes, and cultural events that complement the world heritage assets. These proposals, along with industrial and agricultural tourism, attract a visitor profile with medium to high spending power, following the national trend where cultural tourism drives millions of trips each year.

"Cultural heritage and popular festivals are part of Lleida's DNA and move many people. Culture is our most genuine expression."
