The Commercial Court number 1 of Girona has initiated the consultation period for an Employment Regulation File (ERE) that will affect all 193 employees of the company Consorci Sanitari Regió Girona, which is currently in bankruptcy proceedings.

This decision comes after the company filed for suspension of payments. The firm AST Concursal Law, acting as the bankruptcy administrator, has begun the necessary procedures for the termination of employment relationships for the entire staff.
Consorci Sanitari Regió Girona was responsible for providing non-urgent sanitary transport services in the Girona region. This activity was carried out under a public tender that the company won in 2006 for a ten-year period, generating annual revenues close to five million euros.
The contract expired last January, leaving the entity with virtually no activity and precipitating its insolvency. Consorci is a subsidiary of Tourism International Medical Services, whose administrators are Edgar Nolla Sánchez and Eduardo-Federico Vila Regard.
