According to the latest report from the Association of Developers of Catalonia (APCE), presented this Monday in Puigcerdà, the county shows the highest productive dynamism in the region. Of the ongoing works, 104 homes started last year, while 166 began in 2024.
“"Housing must be produced to meet the needs of households, considering that the stocks left after the 2008 financial crisis have already been absorbed."
The organization notes that the line between primary and secondary residences has blurred since the pandemic. The rise of remote work has led many owners to extend their stays in homes originally purchased for holiday use. In this context, APCE advocates for public-private partnerships to develop affordable housing.
