The city of Barcelona becomes the epicenter of the debate on the potential of the Mediterranean arc this week with the celebration of the third edition of the Mediterranean Economic and Social Forum.

The meeting, which takes place at the CosmoCaixa facilities, features the participation of institutional, academic, and business sector representatives. Under the motto 'A sea of commitments', the event seeks to establish shared responses to the current challenges of the region, focusing on three fundamental axes: stability, prosperity, and people.
During the inauguration, held at the Joan Miró Foundation, the importance of culture as a cohesive element of the Mediterranean space was highlighted. The event was attended by numerous authorities and personalities, including representatives from the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Barcelona City Council, as well as leaders from various economic organizations.
The program of conferences and round tables includes the participation of relevant figures from the political and economic spheres, both at a national and international level. Debates are expected to address key issues such as housing, sustainable mobility, urban transformation, and multilateralism in a global context marked by instability.
