The fair, held on Passeig Marimon Asprer in La Bisbal d'Empordà, has solidified its position as a benchmark in the used car sector. It offered a wide range of vehicles, including zero-kilometer cars, industrial vans, and family models. This edition, which took place in April 2026, was notable for a change in dates compared to the previous year, a decision that, according to the organizers, proved to be a success.
“"Last year it was held in June, the heat was unbearable, so we decided to change it and, despite our fears, expectations have been more than met."
Despite a slow first quarter for the used vehicle market and the uncertainty generated by the geopolitical situation, Expocasió managed to sell between 43% and 45% of the 300 cars on display, totaling between 130 and 135 units. The fair's director, Albert Alsina, expressed his satisfaction with the results, highlighting the strong sales during the initial days.
“"On Friday and yesterday, we saw 50 cars leave each day; today was slower, even though there were more people, but overall, we are very happy."
Regarding purchasing trends, Alsina noted that, despite the rise of electric vehicles, hybrid cars remain highly sought after, and many buyers still rely on diesel models, despite rising prices. The success of Expocasió de la Bisbal serves as a starting point for future editions planned for 2026 in other locations such as Fornells and Blanes, with the aim of consolidating Fornells as the epicenter of the sector in the Girona regions.
