Tenerife's productive fabric is preparing for an unprecedented aesthetic and competitive transformation in 2026. The insular Council has approved a new aid line focused on the integral renovation of the exterior image, signage, and billboards of local businesses.

The initiative, promoted by the insular corporation, aims to correct the visual wear and tear of the island's industrial and urban areas, injecting capital directly into the accounts of the self-employed and small business owners. The initial budget is €165,000, with a clause for an additional €200,000, setting the maximum public investment ceiling at €365,000.
The Island Council's Industry Counselor, Manuel Fernández, detailed that the insular government will cover 100% of eligible expenses, with a maximum limit of €10,000 per applicant. To break down traditional bureaucratic hurdles, the advance payment of the full granted subsidy is introduced, preventing beneficiaries from having to commit their own liquidity.
Potential beneficiaries include self-employed individuals registered in industrial or artisanal sectors, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), production and transformation cooperatives, and companies with up to 500 employees. The call covers traditional industries in industrial parks as well as artisanal businesses or those in urban centers.
The subsidies will be used for the complete renovation of exterior signage and billboards, the reform, painting, and general conditioning of exterior facades, as well as technical expenses for design projects, surveyors, or necessary licenses.

"The priority goal of the government team was to rescue the Industry area from a secondary role within the insular structure, providing it with an independent structure, its own budget, and truly useful tools for Tenerife's entrepreneurs."
