Previous information had cast doubt on the origin of La Irlandesa butter, suggesting it did not come from Ireland. However, this claim has been refuted after clarifications from the representatives of the company RODRIGONSA.
The company's management has affirmed that the product is indeed of Irish origin, a statement that has been supported by a judicial decision. The magistrate of the Court of First Instance of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has decreed that La Irlandesa butter, in fact, comes from Ireland.
“"With complete seriousness, forcefulness, and impartiality, we can and do assure that La Irlandesa butter originates from Ireland. Confirmed then: La Irlandesa was not an artistic name. It's not every day that butter wins a geographical debate."
This judicial pronouncement puts an end to the controversy surrounding the product's name, confirming that La Irlandesa accurately reflects its provenance. The ruling underscores the importance of truthfulness in information regarding food origins.
