The Presidency Department of the Government of the Canary Islands has presented a report on the management of the public company Proexca, covering the period between January 2023 and May of the current year. During this time, Proexca has facilitated the establishment of 219 companies in the archipelago.
In the same interval, the entity generated 1,098 business contacts through various international economic promotion actions. Concurrently, it provided support to 653 Canarian companies in their foreign expansion processes, contributing to the realization of these 219 effective business establishments in the Canary Islands.
Additionally, 559 potential investment opportunities were identified and are currently in various stages of development. Twenty-four percent of these opportunities express interest in establishing themselves in the Canary Islands, without prioritizing a specific island. Of the establishments already materialized in the last three years, 97 were located in Gran Canaria, 73 in Tenerife, 25 in Lanzarote, and 15 in Fuerteventura.
Proexca's strategy focuses on attracting productive investment, fostering the international expansion of the Canarian business sector, and creating new economic opportunities for the Archipelago.
