The Official Gazette of Canarias has published the requirements for accessing the non-contributory benefit supplement, a measure promoted by the Department of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Childhood and Families of the Government of Canarias.

This supplement is intended for individuals with a recognized non-contributory pension who reside in the autonomous community and are listed on the payrolls for May and November 2026 as recipients. The aid amounts to 400 euros, which will be paid in two installments of 200 euros each during the months of May and November.
The General Directorate of Social Services and Immigration will be responsible for initiating the procedure for the payment of this economic supplement ex officio. It is important to note that those in a situation of suspension, awaiting recognition procedures, extinction, or deregistration due to transfer to another community will not be entitled to this aid.

Currently, there are approximately 42,000 people in Canarias who receive a non-contributory Social Security pension, either for retirement or disability, ranging between 569.32 euros and 624.84 euros per month on average, respectively.
