Between January and July 2026, the more than 190 hotel and non-hotel complexes operating in Lanzarote accumulated revenues of approximately 607.1 million euros. These figures, compiled by the Cabildo's Data Center using information from the Canary Institute of Statistics (Istac), surpass the same period last year when revenue stood at 566.2 million euros.
Lanzarote's tourist establishments, offering nearly 64,300 beds, have seen their productivity primarily influenced by hotels, which recorded 480.5 million euros. Non-hotel businesses contributed 126.6 million euros.
The increase in revenue is attributed to a higher average bed price across all offered modalities. Overnight stays remained stable at approximately 10.3 million, a figure very similar to the previous year. In total, over 1.72 million guests had average stays exceeding one week.
The average daily rate this year has surpassed 130 euros, a notable increase compared to 2025 and significantly higher than values recorded since 2021.
By month, March stood out with a record revenue of nearly 101.8 million euros. July was also a productive month, reaching 96.2 million euros, the second-best mark of the year. The current month is expected to close with figures similar to March.
These positive economic results have strengthened direct employment in the island's accommodation sector across its seven municipalities, with over 13,500 workers. Hotels employ more than 11,100 professionals, while apartments and similar establishments have around 2,500.
