The Governing Council of the Cabildo de Tenerife has approved the bases for a new line of subsidies aimed at the renovation and modernization of retail, restaurant, and personal service premises, with an initial allocation of 590,000 euros for the year 2026.

This initiative, which could be increased by an additional 500,000 euros depending on budget availability and demand, seeks to strengthen the competitiveness of self-employed individuals and micro-SMEs on the island. The main objective is to promote modernization, energy efficiency, beautification, and the elimination of architectural barriers in physical establishments.

"This line of aid is fundamental to adapt traditional businesses to current market demands and sustainability."

The grants are designed to facilitate access for the largest possible number of beneficiaries, prioritizing smaller business structures. 60% of the investment made will be subsidized, with a maximum amount of 10,000 euros per premises.
The Cabildo de Tenerife emphasizes that these grants represent a firm commitment to excellence in the commercial fabric, providing the necessary tools to transform premises into more accessible, efficient, and attractive spaces, thus contributing to the island's economic development.
