The Fundación Deporte Joven and the Spanish Olympic Committee have introduced new sponsorship and sustainability formulas for the sports business ecosystem in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The event, held at the Confederación Canaria de Empresarios, provided local entities with insights into sports taxation mechanisms. Key highlights included the Acontecimientos de Excepcional Interés Público and the España Compite program, instruments designed to facilitate public-private collaboration and offer tax incentives of up to 90%.
Representatives from the Government of the Canary Islands and the Canarian Sports Industry Cluster emphasized the importance of creating a favorable investment environment. The goal is for private capital to complement public efforts, particularly in supporting minority sports clubs and federations that require additional backing to remain viable.

"We must continue to create a favorable environment for investment and work together to foster the sports industry."

During the afternoon session, the focus shifted to sustainability. The Spanish Olympic Committee presented a specific calculator to measure the carbon footprint of sports events, a free tool validated by Bureau Veritas. Additionally, the Sustainable Sports Entity seals and the MOES platform were introduced to promote positive social impact through physical activity.
