Tenerife. — Pool maintenance does not consist solely of removing leaves, cleaning the basin, or checking that the water looks good. The chemical balance of the water, the correct functioning of filtration and dosing equipment, the safety of the installation, and the prevention of breakdowns are fundamental factors to guarantee a pool in good condition all year round.
With this vision, Drpools is born, a new company specializing in technical pool maintenance in Tenerife, with special attention to Puerto de la Cruz and the north of the island. The project arises with the intention of offering individuals, communities, holiday homes, and pool owners a professional and close service, based on the technical control of the facilities and personalized attention to each client.
“
"We want our clients not only to worry about the pool looking clean, but that it is actually well maintained. A pool can have crystal-clear water and, nevertheless, present chemical imbalances or operational problems that cannot be detected with the naked eye. Therefore, at Drpools, we understand maintenance as a whole: correctly controlling water parameters, checking filtration, pumps, chlorination systems, and other installation components, and acting preventively to ensure adequate and safe bathing conditions,” explains Delyan Ramos, head of Drpools."
Maintenance based on data and technical control.
A complete visit is more like an analysis than a cleaning. The bottom is vacuumed and walls, corners, steps, and the waterline are brushed, where limescale, grease, and biofilm accumulate; skimmers and baskets are emptied; pH, chlorine, total alkalinity, and hardness are measured; pre-filters are cleaned, backwashing is done if necessary, and filter pressure and sand condition are checked. For saltwater pools, there's an added step: cleaning the chlorinator electrodes. Each visit ends with a report of parameters and observations.
One of Drpools' main differentiating aspects is its commitment to controlling and monitoring water parameters. The company performs measurements and checks that allow for knowing the real state of the pool and making data-driven maintenance decisions, paying special attention to parameters such as pH, free and combined chlorine, Redox potential (ORP), alkalinity, cyanuric acid, and salinity, among others. This approach allows for detecting imbalances before they can become major problems and contributes to maintaining adequate conditions for both the preservation of the facility and the safety of bathers.
In addition to periodic maintenance, Drpools works on the review and setup of technical rooms, filtration systems, pumps, saltwater chlorination, dosing systems, heat pumps, lighting, and various hydraulic elements related to pool installations.
A commitment to Tenerife North
Although the company can handle technical work in different parts of Tenerife, its main area of operation is in the north of the island, including municipalities such as Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, Los Realejos, Santa Úrsula, La Matanza, El Sauzal, Tacoronte, and other towns in the area. This proximity allows Drpools to offer a more accessible service and provide prompt attention for incidents or maintenance needs.
The company also pays special attention to the holiday rental sector, where maintaining the pool in optimal condition is particularly important for both the guest experience and the peace of mind of property owners and managers.
A young company with a vision for growth
Drpools is currently in a stage of growth and consolidation, aiming to continue expanding its client portfolio and progressively become a benchmark for technical pool maintenance in Tenerife North.
The company's philosophy is summarized in one idea: “Crystal-clear water all year round,” but understanding that achieving it requires much more than occasional cleaning.
“We are building the company step by step, and we want every client who trusts us to perceive the difference in service,” says Ramos. “Our priority is to work with integrity, explain to the client what their pool really needs, and maintain a constant quality standard in every intervention”.
For Drpools, business growth must be accompanied by a close relationship with its clients and continuous technical training to address the new technologies and systems that are increasingly present in private and professional pools.
