The Government of the Canary Islands, through the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce and Self-Employed, will launch a total of 97,918 consumer vouchers, each valued at 50 euros, on April 28, aiming to revitalize local commerce across all islands.

These vouchers, presented by the Vice President of the Government of the Canary Islands and Minister of Economy, Industry, Commerce and Self-Employed, Manuel Domínguez, alongside the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Santiago Sesé, and other chamber representatives, seek to benefit both consumers and small and medium-sized businesses.
Each voucher will have a value of 50 euros, with the consumer contributing half and the other half subsidized by the Government of the Canary Islands. Users can acquire a maximum of four vouchers per island, representing an investment of 100 euros that allows them to make purchases totaling 200 euros. It is essential that the vouchers are used exclusively in participating establishments on the island where they were purchased, thereby promoting local consumption.

"These vouchers are aimed at traditional commerce, as large stores are excluded. The objective is to help consumers and businesses, which represent the second economic activity of the islands."

Adhesion for self-employed individuals, micro-enterprises, and small businesses with an open establishment in the Canary Islands began on April 15, provided they meet the established requirements. Public administrations, non-profit organizations, large department stores, large retail chains, food distribution chains, and certain national or international franchises and subsidiaries are excluded from this initiative.
The vouchers are nominative, non-transferable, non-refundable, and valid only for in-person purchases, although they are compatible with store discounts and promotions. Each participating establishment can redeem a maximum of 5,000 euros in vouchers, with the possibility of extension. Redemption will be managed through a web platform, with payment within a maximum of 15 days.
The total investment for the program amounts to 3 million euros, of which 2,448,000 euros are directly allocated to the vouchers, with the remainder covering management expenses. The campaign will last two months, and the platform for adhesion and purchase is www.bonocosumoarchipielago.com. The distribution of vouchers by island is as follows: Tenerife (35,988), Gran Canaria (35,456), Lanzarote (8,195), Fuerteventura (6,629), La Palma (5,245), La Gomera (3,453), and El Hierro (2,952).
