The president of the Cabildo, Antonio Morales, and the Minister of Economic Development, Minerva Alonso, visited Valleseco alongside the mayor, José Luis Rodríguez, to assess the actions already carried out in the open commercial area and future projects. Among the key initiatives is the modernization of the Plaza de San Vicente Ferrer, with an estimated cost of 500,000 euros, whose funding is still under study.
During the tour, authorities confirmed the positive impact of the interventions from the Master Plan for the open commercial area. This initiative has successfully transformed the urban environment, improved accessibility, and created new opportunities for the municipality's economic activity, benefiting residents and visitors.
“"The mid-mountain and summit municipalities need collaboration between institutions to face the great challenges that the rural world faces in current times."
Morales also highlighted the close collaboration with the Valleseco City Council, which has enabled the execution of highly relevant projects. These actions aim to attract more people and foster their roots in the territory, contributing to the sustainable development of the area.
Among the visited actions are the various phases of the open commercial area, where new parking areas have been enabled, green and sustainable spaces created, and streets pedestrianized. These improvements have revitalized the urban center and enhanced the experience of residents.
“"We continue working on upcoming actions, with projects that seek to generate economic activity and improve services."
In addition to the plaza's renovation, other initiatives are being explored, focusing on training, local development, and the promotion of new residential models, such as ecoliving, to continue driving Valleseco's progress.
