These awards, driven by the Vice-Rectorate for Entrepreneurship and Employability, primarily aim to support the creation of new businesses and enhance the socioeconomic impact of research generated at the academic institution. The call for applications will remain open until May 18.
Since their first edition in 2007, the atrÉBT! awards have sought to stimulate an entrepreneurial culture among researchers and students, facilitating the translation of knowledge developed in research groups into business projects with high added value and growth potential.
This year, over 20,000 euros in prizes will be distributed, thanks to the collaboration of various sponsoring entities. The program includes six different participation categories, with specific lines for initiatives from research groups (atrÉBT! SPINOFF and atrÉBT! IPR), for young researchers and students (atrÉBT! TESIS and atrÉBT! TFG/TFM), and for entrepreneurs in general (atrÉBT! and atrÉBT! HUMAN).
Finalist projects will be evaluated based on submitted documentation, and their promoters will present their proposals to a jury. The winners will be announced during the atrÉBT! Final Gala, an event celebrating innovation and the university's social commitment.
The call is supported by the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer and primarily sponsored by the Consorcio Zona Franca de Cádiz and the Diputación de Cádiz, through the Dipuinnova+ program. Collaborating entities also include the Social Council of the University of Cádiz, Verinsur, INIBICA, the Navantia UCA Chair, and the CeiMar Foundation.
