The Seville Chamber of Commerce Group has experienced significant growth, increasing its budget by 61% since 2020, when its activities generated 13.6 million euros. Currently, training accounts for half of its income, contributing 11 million euros annually. This expansion has placed the entity among the top three in Spain by budget volume.
Diversification is a key strategy for the Chamber, chaired by Francisco Herrero. It recently acquired 40% of Andalucía Económica magazine and is close to finalizing the purchase of 100% of the Andalucía Inmobiliaria brand. Additionally, it has ventured into managing river pontoons on the Guadalquivir river, with the concession of four berths and plans to manage seven more.
The group's activities are channeled through five entities: the Chamber of Commerce itself, the university center EUSA, the Campus Cámara, the Andalusian Business and Financial Club (Fefna), and the Chamber Foundation. The Chamber of Commerce is the primary source of income, contributing 9.9 million euros, mainly from managing European funds for employment, entrepreneurship, SMEs, and freelancers, as explained by Salvador Fernández, the institution's general director.
Both university and vocational training are fundamental pillars, representing half of the budget. The Campus Cámara, located at the Cruzcampo Foundation, generates 6 million euros and offers higher vocational training degrees and master's programs in areas such as new technologies, video game development, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. EUSA, affiliated with the University of Seville, anticipates revenues of 4.7 million euros, adapting to the rise of vocational training.
Cefna, for its part, will contribute 1.6 million euros, establishing itself as Spain's most powerful business club with 360 associated companies. Through Fefna, the group owns 40% of Andalucía Económica and will acquire Andalucía Inmobiliaria. The Chamber Foundation, with a budget of 504,700 euros, promotes corporate social responsibility and cultural projects, such as "Sevilla oculta" and "Replanta".
Regarding its assets, the Seville Chamber of Commerce plans to relocate its five entities to the future Port District, following a 50-year lease agreement with the Port Authority of Seville. This move will involve the relocation of Campus Cámara and EUSA, leaving the current EUSA building in Viapol vacant. Additionally, a ten-year lease agreement has been signed for the Vera building, the former Seville Tobacco Factory, to house the main headquarters of Cefna and an event center.
The Chamber Foundation has also signed an agreement with the Seville City Council for the MOMO-tech project, focused on developing sustainable industry in the old Puerta de la Carne Market. This project has a budget of 7.5 million euros, with a contribution of 2 million from the Seville Chamber of Commerce.
