Seville Airport reported a significant 9% increase in passenger numbers during March, exceeding 950,000 travelers and consolidating its upward trend, largely due to the boost from international connections.

In March, Seville Airport registered a total of 952,998 passengers, marking a 9% rise compared to the same period last year. This growth highlights the positive trajectory of the Andalusian aerodrome, which has handled an average of over 30,700 daily travelers, primarily driven by the expansion of its international routes.
The majority of these users, specifically 952,214 passengers, traveled on commercial flights. Of these, 377,081 opted for domestic routes, maintaining figures similar to those of 2025, while 575,133 chose international flights, experiencing a significant 16.2% increase. This dynamism has boosted the share of international traffic to 60.4% of the total commercial volume, nearly four percentage points higher than the previous year.
Among the most popular international destinations are Italy, France, and the United Kingdom, followed by the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, and Poland. However, the most substantial growth was observed in markets such as Turkey, Denmark, Poland, Romania, and Morocco. The case of Turkey is particularly noteworthy, with passenger numbers more than doubling thanks to the strengthened connection with Istanbul, currently operated by two airlines.
Regarding operational activity, the airport managed a total of 7,019 flights in March, of which 6,241 were commercial, representing an 8.3% increase. Furthermore, cargo transport also showed positive development, moving nearly 1,079 tons, 7.5% more than in the same month of the previous year.
This strong monthly performance is reflected in the first quarter balance of 2026. Between January and March, Seville Airport recorded 2,455,182 passengers, an 8.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Of these, over 1.43 million traveled on international routes, representing a 14.4% growth, while domestic traffic increased by 2.1%. The number of operations rose to 18,293 flights, with a 9.3% increase in commercial flights, and cargo volume neared 2,740 tons, consolidating the airport's upward trend across all its key indicators.
