The president of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes, has celebrated the acquisition of Deoleo by Acesur and Dcoop, calling it 'magnificent news for Spain and for our autonomous community'.

Fuentes underlined that Deoleo is the world's largest olive oil marketing company and stressed the importance of it falling into Spanish hands, given Andalusia's position as an olive oil producer. The uncertainty generated by a potential sale to non-Spanish entities was "very worrying", in his words.
The highest representative of the provincial institution highlighted that the operation is 'magnificent news for farmers, cooperatives, and olive mills', expressing pride in the participation of a cooperative like Dcoop in the purchase, considering Deoleo's international reach, exporting to 70 countries.
Furthermore, Fuentes insisted on the "talent" and "capacity" of the Andalusian land and its "corporate formula" to compete in the global market. He concluded by expressing his pride in being Andalusian and from Córdoba, and in the work of those in the olive oil sector, "which is currently going through difficulties".
