KM Malta Airlines has announced a new direct route connecting Malaga with Malta starting May 27, enhancing its flight offerings for the summer season.

This new air link, which will connect Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) with Malta International Airport (MLA), will operate twice a week. Flights are scheduled for Wednesdays and Sundays, providing direct travel options between southern Spain and the Mediterranean archipelago.
To mark its launch, the airline has introduced a special fare for the inaugural flight, with prices starting from 16 euros plus taxes for a one-way trip. For subsequent flights on this route, standard fares will begin at 40 euros, also plus taxes, for one-way journeys.
The addition of Malaga to KM Malta Airlines' network of destinations aims to improve accessibility to Malta from the Spanish market, opening new opportunities for inbound tourism from the Andalusian region. This service is part of the airline's flight program for summer 2026, which includes an expanded offering of routes and frequencies to key destinations across Europe and the Mediterranean.
