The bakery and pastry sector has for years faced a challenge in finding qualified professionals and ensuring generational renewal. To address this need, the IBP Center (International Bakery & Pastry Center) is established in Cordoba, a training project promoted by the Granier chain with the aim of attracting new generations to the profession.
Located at Campus Córdoba, the center aims to be a benchmark for specialized training in bakery, pastry, and confectionery, combining technical learning, real practice, and direct contact with the professional environment.
Its main offering is an official Intermediate Vocational Training (Grado Medio) in Bakery, Pastry, and Confectionery. Classes are held in facilities that replicate the daily operations of a professional bakery, where students work from day one with real products, machinery, and processes. The program also includes a global perspective of the sector and the business environment.
One of the project's main attractions is its direct connection to employment. The degree includes internships and has the backing of the Granier network itself, facilitating a natural transition into the job market. "Today, the sector needs prepared professionals, but also new vocations that want to develop a career in the trade," they state from the project.
The academic direction will be led by José Roldán, recognized as World Baker 2025, who brings an updated vision aligned with new market demands.
The center complements its offerings with intensive courses, introductory programs, specialization courses, and masterclasses, aimed at both those wishing to start in the trade and active professionals seeking to expand their skills.
