The Jaén city will become the epicenter of this important event, which will bring together leading companies in the automotive and components sector, as well as the member city councils of the organization. The preparatory work meeting was attended by the mayor of Martos, Emilio Torres, and the Councilor for Industrial Development, Juan Carlos Canalejo, who met with the vice president of ACEAC and mayor of Ávila, José Manuel Sánchez; the president and director of Andaltec, Francisco Cazorla and Daniel Aguilera, respectively, and Carlos González, from the Congress committee.
Mayor Emilio Torres highlighted the importance of laying the groundwork for the congress in Martos, a locality with "great references in the automotive industry." The visit to Andaltec served to understand its "capabilities and potential" for future sector projects.
For his part, the vice president of ACEAC, José Manuel Sánchez, described the event as "unique in the world," bringing together "the best car and component manufacturers in the sector," including associations such as Anfac and Sernauto. He emphasized the significance of the participation of companies, social agents, and unions.
Both mayors agreed on the "vital importance" of this meeting for a strategic sector at both national and European levels. The president of Andaltec, Francisco Cazorla, thanked the Foundation for being chosen to host the congress and provided an overview of the sector: "Last year in Spain, just over 2.2 million vehicles were manufactured, 4% less than the previous year, and the forecast for this year is even lower." Faced with this situation, he advocated for "collaboration between companies, technological foundations, and institutions" to successfully address future challenges.
