The Malaga City Council presented this Wednesday a new technical guide developed by the Malaga Convention Bureau to centralize and promote the city's range of venues for professional events.

The publication, which serves as an external promotion tool, compiles over 70 unique locations, including museums, theaters, estates, and outdoor spaces. Additionally, the document integrates a selection of more than 80 hotels capable of hosting congresses and meeting the accommodation demands of attendees.
The main objective is to consolidate Malaga's position within the MICE sector (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). This segment is considered strategic by local authorities due to its high economic impact and its ability to de-seasonalize tourism demand, attracting visitors throughout the year.
According to data from 2025, the city hosted 2,215 professional events, generating a direct economic impact of over 284 million euros. These figures reinforce the municipal commitment to a tourism model that provides greater added value to the local economy.
The guide includes a printed edition of 8,000 copies to be distributed among institutions and international agencies, as well as a digital version permanently updated via the municipal Tourism website. The council has noted that the catalog is a living document that will incorporate new resources as the city's offerings evolve.
